In December, reality star Katie, 42, revealed Harvey had lost eight pounds in just a week after embarking on a lifestyle overhaul.

Caring: In January, the influencer revealed her child is living in his own three-bedroom house with CCTV cameras across the road from her before he begins staying in full-time care

Detailing the teen’s new health journey, the ex-Page 3 star told OK! magazine: ‘We’ve got some gym stuff for him and put it all in Carl’s garage.

‘Prep Kitchen are also going to send meals to his school. We want to try anything to help him lose his weight. He’s lost 4kg this week, so at least he’s lost something.’

Car salesman Carl, 31, recently explained how he and the mother-of-five have transformed one of his rooms with fitness equipment for Harvey.

The one-time Love Island star told The Sun: ‘Kate and I have kitted my garage out with fitness equipment, and it’s all for Harvey.

‘He likes to do thing with me and Kate, if he sees us doing that, I think he’ll do that with us.’

Carl went on to explain that the blonde beauty is ‘all over Harvey about his diet and exercise’ and insisted she has an extremely ‘hard job’.

The TV star has taken drastic measures by padlocking the fridge to ensure her child stops raiding food from the appliance.

Describing his condition as a ‘cruel and horrible illness’, she revealed Harvey is constantly hungry and loses his temper if he isn’t fed.

The former Loose Women panellist added to the publication: ‘He’ll smash things up if you say no. I’ve had to re-plaster my walls because he’ll bash holes in them with his head. He knows what nice things taste of.’

WHAT IS PRADER-WILLI SYNDROME?

Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic condition that causes problems including constant urges to eat food, restricted growth and reduced muscle tone.

Other potential issues include learning difficulties, lack of sexual development and behavioral problems such as tantrums or stubbornness.

The rare condition, which affects one in every 15,000 children born in England, is caused by a defect on chromosome number 15 – and happens by chance.

Because there is no cure, treatment aims to manage the symptoms – with parents of sufferers urged to get their children to stick to a healthy, balanced diet.

Children with the syndrome can eat up to six times more than children of the same age – and still feel hungry.

Katie appealed to her fans at the start of November for help sourcing gym equipment ahead of the second lockdown, which forced gyms to close for four weeks.

She wrote at the time: ‘Can anybody help. I’m looking to rent a treadmill and rowing machine for Harvey that can take his weight, 28 half stone, and other gym bits as through lockdown I have to make sure he can exercise at home. Please help, DM me.’

Months earlier, Harvey put on two stone in just two months, with doctors telling the CBB star that her son is at risk of a heart attack.

After a health scare, a spokesperson for Katie told MailOnline that she was going to make lifestyle changes for her son and try to ‘reduce his weight’.

In June, Harvey was rushed to intensive care after having trouble breathing, experiencing extreme chest-pains and a soaring temperature and was thought to be at risk of organ failure.

Katie recalled seeing eight doctors crowding around him in the resuscitation room and said she was ‘terrified’ by the 10-day ordeal.

Harvey does not have a relationship with his biological father, former footballer Dwight Yorke, 49.

Brighton native Katie is also a mother to son Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13, with her ex-husband, singer and TV personality Peter Andre, 47.

She also shares her son Jett, seven, and daughter Bunny, six, with former stripper Kieran Hayler, 33, who she officially divorced earlier this week.
